BSF CONTINUES TO KILL INNOCENT BANGLADESHI PEOPLE ON THE BORDER & 31st DECEMBER 2017 KILLED ONE .

The death of Mohammad Saiful Islam allegedly caused by Indian BSF firing at Birampur border of Dinajpur District.
The year of 1973 was the only year when no Bangladeshi was killed by BSF or Indian nationals while the year 2006 saw the killing of the highest number of Bangladeshis along the border. In that year, 106 Bangladesh citizens were killed along the border by the Indians.
During the period covering 4 decades and a half, BGB also killed over 36 Indian nationals and BSF personnel of which 16 BSF men were killed in 1999. Less than 50 Indian civilians and BSF men were injured by Bangladeshis during this period.
Two Bangladeshis were killed along the border in 1972, the very next year after the independence while the first Indian civilian was killed by BGB in 1990.
Decade-wise, 103 Bangladesh nationals were killed from 1972 to 1981 by the Indian side. From 1982 to 1991, 179 Bangladeshi civilians and 4 BGB personnel were killed. From 1992 to 2000, 264 Bangladeshi civilians along with 10 BGB men met their death along the border. From 2002 till 2011, the Indians killed 666 civilians and 2 BGB personnel. In the half decade from 2012 to 2016, the border has witnessed killing of 178 Bangladeshis.  
The statistics shows that a significant number of Bangladeshis were killed and injured by the Indian civilians along the border. For instance, from January 2000 till February  28, 2017, a total of 4138 Bangladeshis were killed and 207 were injured by the Indian civilians & BSF.  
On 7 January 2011, a 15-year-old girl, Felani, was shot dead while illegally entering Bangladesh from India by BSF in Phulbari upazila, Kurigram. She had gotten stuck on the barbwire when she was shot and she remained there for 5 hours until she bled to death.

A teenager was killed, and three others were injured in BSF shooting in Chuadanga when they went to pick mango from a tree near the border on May 2016.

The Indian Border Security Force shot dead a Bangladeshi trader and injured another along northern Lalmonirhat border in early Saturday when a senior-level meeting between border guarding forces was underway in south-eastern Chittagong.
The firing incident took place at Daikhawa border in Hatibandha upazila of the northern district in the midst of the Region Commander-level meeting begin in Chittagong on December 27 and concluded on Saturday with the signing of joint records of discussions.
The Indian border force shot dead Shafiqul Islam, 23, son of Jaynul Abedin, of village Amjhol under the upazila.He was a cattle trader.
Lieutenant Colonel Golam Morshed, the director of Border Guard Bangladesh battalion-15 in Lalmonirhat, said a group of cattle traders, including Shafiqul, went to the border area near demarcation pillar at about 4:00am to bring cattle head.
Sensing their presence, a team of BSF soldier from its 100-Paglabari camp under Cooch Behar district in West Bengal, India, chased the cattle traders and opened fire on them, he said.
Shafiqul died on the spot and another one, who could not be identified immediately, got injured.
BSF members took the body while other cattle traders managed to flee the scene with the injured person, the BGB official said.
‘We have lodged a strong protest and called for a flag meeting over the incident,’ he said. A commander-level flag meeting was held at around 12 noon between the border guard forces of the countries where BSF denied handing over the body.
In a separate development, a BSF patrol team intruded into Bangladesh territory and abducted a farmer, who was working in his cornfield in Mogolhat border in the district headquarters in the morning.
BGB troopers from Mogolhat camp rushed to the spot after learning about the abduction of Sabed Ali.
A patrol team of 38 BSF battalion’s Gitadaldah camp entered into Bangladesh at around 8:45am, locals said.The reason behind his abduction is not clear.
The BGB has sent a letter of protest. BGB battalion director Morshed said they had called for a company commander-level meeting to get back Sabed but BSF was yet to respond.

Only two days ago, the BSF caught two Bangladeshis along the Lalmonirhat border and tortured them. One of them managed to escape into Bangladesh while another detainee was handed over to the Indian police. Meanwhile more then 6000 people were detainee in India till now .
