AUSTRALIAN OPEN 2018: MATCH SCHEDULE, START TIMES, TV CHANNEL, AND HOW TO WATCH DAY 7 ONLINE
The Round of 16 of
the Australian Open is here. Rafael Nadal and Caroline Wozniacki will both be
in action.
We’re
into the Round of 16 at the 2018 Australian Open. Very few of the top-seeded
players from the men’s and women’s singles brackets have been eliminated at
this point, four rounds into the year’s first Grand Slam.
Rafael
Nadal, the top seed and last year’s runner-up, will have his toughest test of
the tournament on Saturday against the 24th seed, Diego Schwartzman. The
Australian Open remains the only Grand Slam that Nadal has only won once
before. The man who beat him in 2017, Roger Federer, has been playing well thus
far.
Also
for the men, No. 3 seed Grigor Dimitrov continues his quest for a Grand Slam
win, and he’s got to take out local favorite Nick Kyrgios, the 17th seed. Marin
Cilic, the sixth seed, has the toughest out among the top seeds, as he will
play Pablo Carreno Busta, the 10th seed.
Or
perhaps it’s Busta who has the toughest out.
On
the women’s side, the second seed, Caroline Wozniacki, has looked great and
will face No. 19 Magdalena Rybarikova. Elina Svitolina, the popular pick to win
it all, will face the unseeded Denisa Allertova. Her top competition is Simona
Halep, who narrowly survived a three-set marathon against Lauren Davis on
Friday. Halep is the top seed but looked utterly exhausted after her win over
Davis.
You
can find results, scores, and schedules for the women’s singles bracket at the
Australian Open right here. Results for the men’s side can be found here.
Below
is all you need to know to follow the Australian Open action on Saturday.
