DO YOU WANT TO WORK FOR HARRY AND MEGHAN? THE ROYAL FAMILY HIRE A COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT


THE British Royal Family have advertised for am ‘exceptional” communication assistant, who will be based in Buckingham Palace, but will also go on foreign visits.

The job for an entry level communications assistant has been advertised on LinkedIn saying the successful candidate will be involved with press announcements, media briefings, social media updates and feature articles.

The successful candidate would probably be working with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The job description says: “Joining this fast-paced and dynamic team, you’ll assist senior colleagues with both proactive and reactive communications.

“You’ll organise coverage of set piece Palace engagements including investitures and garden parties and provide support as required for off-site engagements.”


The job is a 12 month find term contract from April 2018 to April 2019 so there could be an opportunity for the successful candidate to work in and around Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

The Royal Household said the work of the candidate, which could include state visit and award ceremonies, must “spark interest and reach a range of audiences”.
The job advertisement states that everyday jobs with the Royal Family are “exceptional” as “they provide invaluable support to The Queen and Royal Family, enabling them to fulfil their duties and serve the nation”.

Bride-to-be, Meghan, has a new Senior Communications Officer, Amy Pickerill, who made her first public appearance with the royals during their visit to Cardiff Castle this week.

The jo advert reads: "Although based primarily at Buckingham Palace, you'll also travel in the UK or overseas to support important visits and engagements."

The Queen advertised for a new royal chef to work in the royal household at Buckingham Palace in December.

There have been rumours that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are thinking about moving to the Cotswold and renovating a Roman villa.

Prince Harry and the former Suits actress are getting married on Saturday, May 19 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
