RAZZAK IN & EARLY STRIKES , TIGERS BOWL IN 2ND TEST SL-60/1
Bangladesh
have sprung a big surprise as veteran left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak, who last
played in February 2014, returns to the playing eleven. Sri Lanka captain
Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and Sri Lanka have opted to bat, no big surprise
there, in the second and final Test of two-Test series in Dhaka on Thursday.
Akila
Dananjaya makes his debut while Lakshan Sandakan has been left out. Lahiru
Kumara also has been excluded to make way for an extra batsman - Danushka
Gunathilaka. Sabbir Rahman has also been included. Mosaddek Hossain and
Sunzamul Islam have been left out. Suranga Lakmal and Mustafizur Rahman are the
lone pacers for their respective teams. With plenty of spin options on either
side, over rate isn't going to be an issue in this game.
Sabbir
Rahman came in for Mosaddek Hossain in only other change of Bangladesh squad.
Sri
Lanka handed Akila Dananjaya a Test debut for Lakshan Sandakan and bolstered
their batting by bringing in Danushka Gunathilaka for pace bowler Lahiru
Kumara.
The left-arm spinner completely bamboozled Karunaratne in the first delivery of the sixth over, beating him for flight as the left-hander tried to counter the drift on the delivery by stepping out and attempting a flick towards the the on-side. Karunatrne was deceived by the flight as the ball made it through to Liton Das through the legs of the batsman and Liton did not wait around to take the bails off as Razzak makes an impact in his return to Test cricket.
