TRUMP 'MORALLY UNFIT' FOR OFFICE, FIRED FBI CHIEF COMEY TELLS ABC
Donald Trump (R) fired James Comey (L) in May 2017, citing the FBI's behavior in investigating Democrat Hillary Clinton and its probe into possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia |
"I don't buy this stuff about him being mentally incompetent or early stages of dementia," Comey said of Trump, according to a transcript from ABC.
"I don't think
he's medically unfit to be president. I think he's morally unfit to be
president," he said.
"Our president
must embody respect and adhere to the values that are at the core of this
country. The most important being truth. This president is not able to do
that," he said.
Trump fired Comey in
May 2017, citing the FBI's behavior in investigating Democrat Hillary Clinton
and its probe into possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia to tilt the
2016 presidential election.
Just 11 days before
the election, Comey announced that the FBI would reopen an investigation into
Clinton's possible misuse of a private email server while she was secretary of
state -- a move she has said played a part in her loss to Trump.
The president lashed
out at Comey in a series of tweets earlier Sunday, saying that the email probe
was handled "stupidly" and calling Comey a "slime ball."
The big questions in Comey’s badly reviewed book aren’t answered like, how come he gave up Classified Information (jail), why did he lie to Congress (jail), why did the DNC refuse to give Server to the FBI (why didn’t they TAKE it), why the phony memos, McCabe’s $700,000 & more?— Donald J. SOURCE: AFPUnbelievably, James Comey states that Polls, where Crooked Hillary was leading, were a factor in the handling (stupidly) of the Clinton Email probe. In other words, he was making decisions based on the fact that he thought she was going to win, and he wanted a job. Slimeball!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 15, 2018
