TWO BAF TRAINING AIRCRAFTS CRASH IN COX’S BAZAR

Two training aircrafts of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed in
Maheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar this evening, ISPR said.

Rashidul Hasan told two BAF training aircrafts -- Yak 130 – with four crew
members crashed around 6:30pm.
The aircrafts lost connection with Radar around 6: 15pm, he said
earlier.
One of the aircrafts crashed in Palpara area under Maheshkhali Sadar
union and another in Jaliapara area under Chhoto Maheshkhali union .
Firefighters were working to douse the blaze, he said, adding that it
was not clear what caused the crash. ‘We’re not sure whether there was a midair
collision between two aircraft or the two portions of a single aircraft fell
onto the ground,’ he said.
Meanwhile, four pilots have been rescued without any injuries. Search
and rescue operations are going on reports our local correspondent from the
spot.
